Today I want to remind everyone of the bigger picture. We know where we've come from, but have no idea where we are going. That is called faith. Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see. It is the substance of things hoped for. It is invisible, and consists of a future promise. What is a promise? It's an assured declaration. That means that God is all powerful, and all promising, AND that your future with him is sure to be great. He says in Genesis 28:15, "I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you." and in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." These two verses are so important to cling on to. What human can promise to never leave someone? Nobody. We either have to go to work, or go to school, or leave the unfortunate situation we are currently in. But with God, we know that we are never alone. His promise of a better life, and a life filled with love is so much greater than one can imagine. We can each rest in the knowledge that God is sovereign over our life's situations. No matter where we are today or what mistakes we have made in the past, He has given us everything to glorify Him right now.
