Spring has sprung. While not officially, it has certainly sprung in my house. I am joining Simple Mom's Project: Simplify. It's 5 weeks of decluttering. Each Monday, she will reveal the week's "hot spot" project. You take a before, do the declutter, then take an after. Then you submit it and cross your fingers and your toes that you've won the really cool giveaway she's offering you. Here's a cute little button if you want to join in on the fun:
Yes, I realize I'm not a mom. But I loooove organization. My mom told me
once thousands of times "if you put it back where it belonged, you would know where to find it!" I'm not telling her, but she's right. I still have problems finding my keys, and I know I've put them where they belong. The only problem is, they have several vacation homes that they like to visit. So it starts getting tricky. So while I was in my euphoric mood of cleaning, I came across this cute little picture:
And I thought, "Really? Never!! This is so fun!" I stopped to ponder it for a few minutes. And then I cranked my Pandora back up and continued throwing useless things away. It's such a great feeling to step back and look at the after. It's almost as if I'm cleaning myself. I'm taking parts of my life that no longer matter to me, and I'm getting rid of them. I just hope I don't try to find any of these useless things later.
