someone once told me that each guy i dated
was a stepping stone to the next.
this lead me to believe that i was stepping across a river.
and that my river
just so happened to be the nile.
but i have faith
that eventually those stepping stones will get me to the other side.
with each relationship,
i allowed myself to learn,
to love,
and to grow.
you can't control who walks in and out of your life.
but you can control your actions when pain is inflicted upon you.
we are allowed to know pain,
so that we may tell others about what a great
healer
He is.
