oh fudge.

I made fudge for the first time.
and it was amazing.
and it was chocolate peanut butter fudge.
so it was amazing x 1000.
and I think that there is a chance that those two flavors together are addicting.
and after I made it I got a teensy bit upset because now I'm in trouble.
why should anyone know how to make fudge?
it's dangerous and rude to make it and keep it in your house.
because it's like food crack.
so I had to sell it at my mission market to get it out of my house.

and now I'm going to give you the recipe so that you will know how to make it, and then you will feel equally upset and happy at the same time.

chocolate peanut butter fudge
3/4 c unsalted butter - I used Earth Balance (vegan)
3/4 c creamy peanut butter
pinch of salt
1/2 t vanilla extract
2 1/4 c powdered sugar -- sifted
1 c chocolate chips

butter a 8" baking dish and set aside

in a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat PB and butter until it starts to boil. remove from heat & pour in chocolate chips.

add salt & vanilla extract, then stir in the powdered sugar. then stir stir stir until no lumps remain.

pour into buttered baking dish and smooth out top with spatula. put a piece of plastic wrap directly on top of fudge and place in fridge for 1 hour, or until set.

cut into squares and serve. and then discard recipe and promise yourself you won't make it again.
